A Language Lover’s Wishlist
¡Hola!

I want this. Above my desk. Greeting me every morning. Yay!

You may have seen on Instagram that I found a couple of old Esperanto books a month or so ago at a car boot sale. Here’s the Pinterester in me coming out but they look so much better on a shelf than a modern book! I can see this original Berlitz Spanish book being a perfect fit.

Since moving house, I’ve been trying to incorporate language into our home as much as possible. I have a few ideas that I’m planning to share on the blog soon. Spoiler: these would be perfect for one of those projects!

I keep seeing this book in Waterstones and umming and ahhing. (I’m really terrible at parting with money!) However, I recently won some Amazon vouchers for a video contest I won with the Open University so this is high on the wishlist!

Way back in the early days of my university study, I had to take an English linguistics course. I consequently fell a little bit in love with David Crystal. This one also tempts me every time I enter a Waterstones.

Eeek! I’m obsessed with this! It’s ‘I love you’ in American Sign Language. So cute!

This would be perfect for the other wall next to my desk. Also, it would be great for me getting back into the Language Script Challenge in October.

Another language plan for October is to get back into Japanese. I think I might treat myself to Judith’s book to give me some inspiration. She also has 72 Ways to Learn French, Spanish, German For Free too!
