Language Learning Review for october

¡Nada!

This went better than could have been expected. And remember we’re talking about doing nothing here so that means I did less than expected. Yup.

I had planned to keep my toes in the Indonesian water and keep my Memrise daily streak up but mid-month I woke up one Sunday night in some kind of weird dream-state and as soon as I sat up I was sick. Then I was sick again. And again. And I spent two and a half days doing pretty much nothing – not even Indonesian Memrise!

Ever since then it’s been wedding, wedding wedding. Busy busy!

Language Learning Goals for november

Indonesian

We get married the weekend after this post goes live (woop!), we go to Amsterdam for our minimoon (yay!), then it’s time to get back on track with Indonesian (woohoo!).

Complete Indonesian – I completed chapter 4 before my break so by the end of November, I’ll be up to the end of chapter 8.

IndonesianPod101 – I’m working my way through the Absolute Beginner series with a couple of episodes a week. I’m currently at lesson 8 out of 25 in the series. They’re quite short so I’m aiming to get to the end of the Absolute Beginner series by the end of November.

HelloTalk – Get back into the daily habit of checking and replying to messages. I also want to send messages at least weekly to try out what I learn.

Memrise – The course I’m working my way through has 2087 words and as I write this I’m at 349. I’m restarting my streak and doing at least 5 new words each day. My target for the end of November is to hit at least 500.
