In today’s post, I want to share a little more about this course.
Mastering English Phrasal Verbs Through Story is just what you've been waiting for to really improve your English in a much more interesting way.

What’s it about?

As you may guess from the title of the course, it’s about phrasal verbs! What are phrasal verbs exactly? Check out the last post on the blog sharing what you really need to know about phrasal verbs.

As a native speaker, I knew nothing of phrasal verbs until I started teaching English. It didn’t take long for me to realise how crucial this topic is to learners who want to go further and sound more like a native.

But I noticed a lot of resources out there simply throw lists at students and hope for the best. Nuh uh. Not happening here. I wanted to create something of actual value to help you study this tricky aspect of English grammar.

What do I get?

No joke, this course is HUGE. When I started drafting it, it just kept growing. There are thousands of phrasal verbs in use everyday across the English-speaking world. Including all of them would be crazy, overwhelming, and unproductive.

Instead, I’ve narrowed that down to share over 500 phrasal verbs with you in this course via 44 short stories. Yup! Stories!

Stories make for a much more entertaining way to learn languages than your bog-standard textbook. They also add context to your new phrasal verb knowledge, making it easier to remember in the long-run.

Check this post for more thoughts on why stories are a better way to learn a language.

So then, these 500 phrasal verbs and 44 stories, how are they presented?

There’s 44 lectures, each of which contains…

> Video of me telling the story with the phrasal verbs appearing as I say them so you can follow along

> Interactive quiz to test your understanding of the video

> Transcript of the video

> Downloadable PDF video transcript with cultural notes

> Downloadable PDF of explanations and examples including phrasal verbs used in that video as well as other phrasal verbs that use the focus verb

> Downloadable PDF worksheet focusing on that verb

> Chance to create your own story and share with the course community!

As well as that, you also get…

> Introductory lectures, including the very useful ‘What is a Phrasal Verb?’ and a concluding lecture

> Downloadable PDF 57-page eBook: Transcripts & Cultural Notes

> Downloadable PDF 240-page eBook: Lists & Explanations

> Downloadable PDF 37-page eBook: Workbook

> Downloadable MP3 audio of all 44 stories

> Exclusive access to the secret course Facebook group.
