Language Review for April

The first two weeks of April were Easter break, so Ashley (my husband) was home from work (he’s a teacher). I always have a slight shift in routine during school holidays so less language happened, which I was fine with.

Then on the last Friday of Easter break, Ashley was hit by a car and knocked off his bike. So the rest of the month has been a little odd as well. Language hasn’t exactly been a priority and I’ve had to be very mindful with not taking on new work commitments.

That said, the last few days of April I’ve steadily been preparing for my Language Marathon…

Goals for May

I’m not setting any goals for the month as a whole as we’re still not sure how long Ashley will be off work.

Instead, my main goal for May is happening right at the start of the month – my Language Marathon!

You can join in too!

The basic idea is that language learning doesn’t happen with a straight line upwards of progress.

Instead it’s made up of phases of steady growth (most of our time language learning) and speedy gains.

If you’re after a little boost, this weekend’s Language Marathon is a chance for a speedy gain for you!

Here’s some ideas you can do…

>> A full day of online lessons in the language(s) you’re learning?

>> A day off from chores with as much language study as you fancy?

>> A day packed with discovering as much as you can about a brand new language?

It’s completely up to you!

You can opt for the whole weekend or just one day.

I’m doing my Language Marathon on Monday as it’s a bank holiday here.

I’ll be sharing my full Language Marathon Breakdown mid-May at the very first Grace & Space virtual retreat, so keep an eye open for that!
