The Kickstart Your Online Teaching Mini Summit is a live online 3 day event hosted by me, Lindsay Williams of Lindsay Does Languages, sharing lots of free helpful good stuff to help you in the early stages of independent online language teaching.

This is a LIVE event taking place between Friday 14th and Sunday 16th September 2018.

The aim of the event is to inspire new, curious, and existing independent online language teachers (like you!) to give yourself the boost you need to take things to the next level.

Whether that next level is quite literally getting started, whether it’s branding your business to reflect you and what you offer, or whether it’s increasing your audience of potential new students, there’s something here for you at every step of the way.

AND you get to enjoy the Mini Summit live from the comfort of your own home, favourite coffee shop corner, or wherever you happen to be in the world. Hooray!

What will I learn at the Kickstart Your Online Teaching Mini Summit?

Each day, there’ll be a focus topic and 4 live sessions based on that topic.

Those 4 sessions will be a 101 session each day getting you to grips with the basics of the topic, a Workshop giving you a chance to take action, a Tips session helping you learn how to go further, and a Q+A to answer all your questions from the day live.

Day One, Friday 14th September 2018: Beginning Your Online Teaching

101 – Online Teaching Foundations – You’ll learn the key things to consider as you begin to teach languages online.

WORKSHOP – Finding Your Unique Niche – We’ll work together to figure out your niche for teaching online right here live in the session!

TIPS – Managing Your Time (+ still having a life) – We’re all busy. But we all have the same hours in the day, which means we can all teach online if we manage our time effectively. You’ll learn how in this session.

LIVE Q+A – Whatever you want to ask about Beginning.

Day Two, Saturday 15th September 2018: Branding Your Online Teaching

101 – Branding Essentials – Everything you need to know about starting your own online brand.

WORKSHOP – Creating Your Brand Guide – Your Brand Guide is the first key element to your online brand. By the end of this Workshop, you’ll have your own ready to go.

TIPS – What the Heck is Copy? (+ how can you make it good?) – Your words are as important as your visuals so we won’t ignore them, and you’ll learn tips on how to improve your text copy in this session.

LIVE Q+A – Whatever you want to ask about Branding.

Day Three, Sunday 16th September 2018: Promoting Your Online Teaching

101 – Promo From the Get-Go – There’s a lot of options out there to promote your online teaching. We’ll look at an overview and focus in on the easiest way to begin with.

WORKSHOP – Setting Up Your Social Media Schedule – Social media has become a key aspect of all online businesses (and some offline ones too in fact). But doesn’t it take ages? In this workshop you’ll set a schedule allowing you to free up your time to do what you’re actually getting paid for: teach.

TIPS – Growing Your Email List (in a post-GDPR world) – Your email list is one of the best ways to keep in contact with people interested in what you do. But new GDPR data laws have changed things slightly. Learn how in this session.

LIVE Q+A – Whatever you want to ask about Promoting.

Nope. I’ve designed the Mini Summit to be helpful for everyone at any stage of the process of teaching online. The aim of the event is to inspire new, curious, and existing independent online language teachers (like you!) to give yourself the boost you need to take things to the next level. I’m busy on those days! Do I have to join every session live?

Of course not! You can hop in and out of the live sessions as suits you. You’ll have access to the replays of each session until September 21st 2018, so there’s plenty of time to watch back if there’s one or two you miss live.
